Outdoor Concert at Szembeka Square – I Know, Because I’m From Here
On September 24, 2023, residents of the right-bank districts of Warsaw—Praga and Grochów
—gathered at Szembeka Square for a civic-cultural outdoor event organized by the Creative Industries Development Centre (CRPK).
This event offered a unique opportunity to travel back to the first half of the 19th century and explore the history of their “small homeland.”
It was a series of attractions for anyone who wanted to take part in the district’s celebration.
By the afternoon, participants could listen to a story in the Praga dialect,
join in an urban game that offered a deeper understanding of the dramatic history of Grochów,
experience the highly praised Cipher Game, and sample delicacies from the local Grochów cuisine.
All of this was accompanied by a fresh take on traditional Warsaw songs, performed by the Warsaw Sentimental Orchestra and rapper Arkadio.
For older teens and adults, a screening of the documentary “Praskie Katownie – In the Heart of the City” was also part of the program.
The highlight of the event was a musical-historical performance that brought to life the centuries-old history of the local community.
Our team, commissioned by CRPK, co-created and co-produced this outdoor celebration.
We were the full-service executive producers of the entire event.
