"For the Source Still Flows" – A Unique Concert in Memory of Jacek Kaczmarski

The 20th anniversary of Jacek Kaczmarski's passing was honored with a musical spectacle.

On April 10, 2024, at 9:10 PM, TVP1 and TVP Polonia aired the premiere of the exceptional concert "For the Source Still Flows…", commemorating Jacek Kaczmarski on the 20th anniversary of his death.

The concert featured legendary compositions by Jacek Kaczmarski in new, moving arrangements. The stage was graced by performances from:

Industrial Scenography of the Gdańsk Shipyard

The concert was held at the Gdańsk Shipyard, whose industrial interiors perfectly reflected the spirit of Kaczmarski's work, adding a unique historical character to the event.

Narration and Archival Materials

The spectacle was not limited to its musical layer. Artur Żmijewski served as the narrator and virtual guide through Kaczmarski’s poetry. His interpretations of texts were interwoven with archival recordings of the artist’s own words, giving the event an even deeper context.
