“For the Source Still Beats…”

April 10, 2024, at 9:10 PM on TVP1 and TVP Polonia, viewers had the opportunity to watch the concert “For the Source Still Beats…”
Dedicated to the memory of Jacek Kaczmarski on the 20th anniversary of his death.

The concert featured some of the artist's most famous works, performed by an array of talented artists including:
Jacek Wójcicki, Katarzyna Dąbrowska, Janusz Radek, Krzysztof Iwaneczko, Bartosz Porczyk, Maciej Musiałowski, and Krzysztof Szczepaniak.

The performance was held in the industrial setting of the Gdańsk Shipyard – a place deeply connected to the iconic Gdańsk bard.

The artists were accompanied by a band led by Grzegorz Urban and the Music Everywhere choir, conducted by Beata Śnieg.

The concert's narrator and virtual guide through Kaczmarski’s poetry was Artur Żmijewski, who intertwined selected songs with quotes from many of Kaczmarski’s works, not limited to just his songs.

The show also included archival footage of Jacek Kaczmarski’s own reflections and interviews.

Beata Szymańska-Masny was both the director and screenwriter of the concert.

We were commissioned by the producers at TVP to handle the lighting and multimedia production, as well as the rental and construction of the stage design, including its multimedia elements.
